Established by the College Council in affiliation with the Guardian Belief in 2011 to supply help for Theatre Research college students to pursue postgraduate research. The scholarship was made potential by a beneficiant endowment from the late Mrs Eleanor Wright, to honour the reminiscence of her daughter Noni Wright, who was well-known in drama circles, and had appeared on programmes for the BBC.
Candidates should be:
- At the moment enrolled or aspiring to enrol for full-time research on the College of Otago within the 12 months following the deadline
- Intending to review for the diploma of MA or MFA in Theatre Research, or for a PhD researching a subject in Theatre Research
