MOFA Taiwan Scholarship programme 2023-24

The Taiwan Scholarship program is a joint initiative launched by the Ministry of International Affairs (MOFA), the Ministry of Schooling (MOE), the Ministry of Financial Affairs (MOEA) and the Nationwide Science Council (NSC) in 2004. On the Republic of China’s centennial in 2011, the Taiwan Scholarship program advanced into the MOFA Taiwan Scholarship program and the MOE Taiwan Scholarship program with a purpose to cater to college students of various backgrounds.

The MOFA Taiwan Scholarship continues to encourage excellent college students to pursue tutorial levels in Taiwan and to deepen their understanding of Taiwan’s tutorial setting, thereby enhancing exchanges and constructing friendships between Taiwan and their dwelling nations.

I. Applications

1. The non-degree Mandarin Language Enrichment Program (LEP): Recipients could take the LEP for a most of 1 yr at Mandarin-teaching establishments (hereinafter “Mandarin Coaching Facilities”) affiliated with a college or school accredited by the Ministry of Schooling.
